The Immersive Learning Hub opened in 2022 thanks to capital funding. The hub hosts the latest in LED lighting, has excellent acoustics, 4K Blackmagic cameras, autocue and a host of other equipment.
As well as a green screen we also have white and black backgrounds. This allows us to create high-quality videos within the Education Centre with a professional, edited finish.
We can also film within our simulation environments or on-site with the correct permissions.
Within the Immersive Learning Hub, we also have our own 360 image and video camera, the Insta360 Pro2. We also have 10 Virtual Reality headsets which are part of our RiVR Link Classroom in a Box Kit, which allows synchronised facilitated watching of 360 footage without the need for wi-fi allowing a fully immersive classroom experience. More information on this equipment can be watched here: RiVR Link x NHS - YouTube
All of the below can be accessed on Green Brain:
Components of Healthcare
Welcome to Components of Healthcare; a series of training videos designed to introduce staff from all walks of life, both clinical and non-clinical alike, to the healthcare industry, the NHS, and the building blocks that make up acute secondary care.
Components of Healthcare is designed to recognise and evaluate the non-clinical side of healthcare, focusing on processes, structures, and terminology used within a busy NHS healthcare environment.
The first two sessions are available on Green Brain now, with more to come over the course of the year.

Spiritual Care at the End of Life
This six-session course by the Chaplaincy Team at HHFT contains two generic sessions, “Spiritual Care at the End of Life: Why is it important?” and “Talking about Death and Dying”, that we hope will help staff to begin or continue conversations with patients, relatives, and each other about these important topics. The four more specific modules are designed to help staff to think about spiritual care in particular situations – where a diagnosis is given and there is time to prepare, when sudden death occurs, when a baby dies or is dying and when a patient is in their final hours or has died. Central to these sessions is an emphasis on staff self-care and wellbeing – knowing who to talk to and where to find support is important.
ICE Viewing & Requesting
The ICE system allows you to electronically request medical imaging and pathology tests. It also provides the reports relating to those requests.
This e-learning is aimed at all staff who need to review and order diagnostic tests. It contains instructional videos and interactive ‘try me’ sections, where staff can practice key tasks for themselves outside of the live ICE system.
Please note, a network access request form must be submitted to IT Service Desk by your line manager prior to completing this e-learning in order for the login information to be released at completion of the course.
T-Pro e-Clinic Manager e-Learning
T-Pro eClinic Manager is an online clinic and virtual consultation solution, enabling healthcare organisations to deliver more convenient care to patients resulting in better outcomes, reduced costs, and enhanced operational efficiency.
This course is aimed at all staff who may be required to conduct video consultations. It will cover the process of completing a video consultation using the T-Pro platform and how it works for both clinician and patient.
SWASH+ PACS UniView e-Learning
UniView is a zero-footprint web viewer for medical images, reports and documents. It gives us the ability to share patient medical images and reports within the SWASH consortium (Portsmouth, Southampton, Southern Health, Salisbury and IOW) and in the near future Hampshire Hospitals.
UniView can be used to view patient studies from the SWASH consortium. Please continue to use HHFT PACS for viewing HHFT patients until the Trust has gone live with SWASH+ PACS.
This course is aimed at all clinical staff who use PACS to view patient Radiology images and reports.
EPR eTCI (Electronic To Come In) Card
This short course provides an overview of how to use the e-TCI Card functionality in EPR for both Clinicians and Admin Staff. The functionality has been introduced to:
1. Reduce the risk of patients coming to harm
Current paper based ‘TCI card’ processes risk patients coming to harm because incorrect information is copied from a paper TCI card to HHFT Patient Management Information Systems (e.g infoflex, Patient Centre, Paper Diaries, etc.)
2.Save Clinician & Admin time
Current paper based ‘TCI card’ processes are labour intensive for stretched Clinicians and Admin Staff, so this allows for the process to be streamlined to save duplication of tasks
3. Improve automation & integrations between siloed Trust IT Systems
To avoid data entry duplication and improve the integrity and integration of Trust IT systems and data.
