Training is now available on Green Brain as e-learning for staff wishing to become Practice Supervisors and support students in practice.

Please search Green Brain for 'Practice Supervisor Preparation'. You will be able to register yourself onto this training and complete it online.

Once complete, you will receive a 'Next Steps' email from the Learning Environment Team containing information and a workbook to use in your new role as a Practice Supervisor.

Practice Supervisor Portfolio of Evidence Handbook

Practice Assessor Preparation training is currently a face to face training day taking place from 9am to 4pm.

Staff suitable for this training are current Practice Supervisors who have not previously completed Practice Asssessor or Mentorship training. If you meet the following criteria you can book onto Practice Assessor Preparation training:

  • Have attended Practice Supervisor Preparation training OR completed the online Practice Supervisor Preparation e-learning
  • Have completed preparation in portfolio as per Trust requirement – minimum of 3 reflections and a student log
  • Have completed and signed the Practice Supervisor self-declaration form
  • Have line management approval
  • Have been supporting students in practice for a minimum of three months

Practice Assessor Portfolio of Evidence Handbook

 

If you have previously qualified as a Mentor, please send a copy of your certificate to LearningEnvironment@hhft.nhs.uk. We will then add your details to the Mentorship Database and register you onto the Practice Assessor Update e-learning on Green Brain. This will transfer your Mentorship status to the new roles of Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor, allowing you to take on both roles to support students in practice.

Annual Updates for Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors are now available as e-learning on Green Brain.

We are currently working through the Mentorship Database by area to register staff. You will receive a notification by email once this training is available on your Green Brain account.
