A Preceptor will need to be a registered practitioner with a greater knowledge and experience in the clinical area that the Preceptee is working within. The Preceptor will need to have been qualified for longer than 12 months and have experience of supervising learners and/or have a mentorship qualification.

Condensed Preceptor Training dates 

16th Sept 2025- 11:00- 12:30pm
7th Oct 2025- 13:00- 14:30pm
5th Nov 2025- 13:00- 14:30pm.

You should be allocated a Preceptor by your line manager when starting in your ward / department.  If you are unsure then please contact the Preceptorship Team who may be able to help you locate a Preceptor @Finding a Preceptor
