Staff Should:
- Have a clean uniform or scrubs per shift
- Change out of civilian clothes and into uniform on arrival for duty.
- Change out of uniform/scrubs when they have finished their duty and into civilian clothes. Uniform should be transported in a separate bag.
- If it is necessary to travel in uniform/scrubs (e.g. due to the absence of changing facilities at work), then staff should wear something that completely covers the tunic/top or dress part of their uniform/scrubs regardless of the weather (DoH 2010).
- Be professional and of smart appearance at all times when on duty.
- Wear Trust identity badges at all times when on Trust business.
- Do not use public transport whilst in uniform or scrubs
- Remove all PPE before leaving clinical areas and before travelling.
- Not take scrubs outside of the Trust or stockpile them for any reason.
