CELEBRATORY EVENT
PRECEPTOR/ PRACTICE SUPERVISOR TRAINING.
This session is for preceptees who have completed their preceptorship journey and are in the unique position to train to become preceptors to support newly qualified members of staff in practice.
This session combines the Preceptor and Practice supervisor training for all Preceptees.
Supporting students and learners is an rewarding aspect of being a health care professional.
The aim is to ensure preceptees;
- Understand the role of a preceptor and practice supervisor
- Be able to identify learning needs and set objectives
- Demonstrate ability to give constructive feedback
The session can also serve as a refresher for preceptees who are already supervisors.
The celebratory event takes place during the session with the presentation of certificates.
A key criteria for participation is submitting the signed and completed preceptorship portfolio.
