Course Aims/Objectives
Fraud is one of the fastest growing areas of crime reported across the world today, and the NHS faces a constant challenge to try and stay ahead of the problem. This training will explain the different types of fraud that we may encounter and will provide real life case examples where the NHS has been targeted. Details of the role of the Trust’s Local Counter Fraud Specialist will be provided, along with information on how we can all help maintain the Trust’s resilience against fraud. By ensuring that our workforce is fraud aware, we can help prevent, deter and detect potential frauds and by reporting them correctly we can ensure that they are correctly investigated, thus protecting NHS budgets and improving levels of patient care.
