Caring and Communicating with Patients with Dementia

This course is recommended for all staff that have regular contact with patients with dementia

Course Aims/Objectives

•Discussion and reflection on common place situations and challenges for staff caring for patients with dementia.

•To build individuals knowledge about good communication and person centred approach to dementia care

Dementia DEALTS training

This course is recommended for all staff that have regular contact with patients with dementia

Course Aims/Objectives

Three dementia simulation workshops were developed as part of a Francis Fellowship in Clinical Simulation (Dementia), sponsored by Health Education Wessex and Health Education Thames Valley. These three simulation workshops form the DEALTS course, a half day educational package using simulation to educate health and social care staff in dementia
