Laser Core of Knowledge
Subject Matter Expert:
For authorised users of class 3 or 4 lasers, IPL and/or LED equipment and laser protection supervisors.
Training recommended by the MHRA in order to achieve the minimum competency level.
Learner Outcomes: Attendees will be taught the characteristics of optical radiation, the effects of exposure and health hazards, the management of equipment, the safety procedures and policies governing optical radiation equipment use, the relevant legislation and standards, and the principles of risk assessment as well as participate in a laser risk assessment workshop.
