Mental Health Act Training
Aims:
For clinical staff to have basic knowledge of principles of Mental Health Act and its implementation in general hospital
Objectives:
To understand the roles of MHA act legislation, the principles and applicability of different parts of the Act
Understand when and how the Act principles are applied in general hospital.
Target Audience:
- Hospital Managers at all levels
- All on-call Teams
- Frontline staff (Band 5 and above nursing staff/AHPs)
- Medical team/Consultants who might be required to take part in MHA assessments in the role as “second doctor”.
Frequency: 3 Yearly
