Mental Health Awareness Courses
Subject Matter Expert: Adam Smith
Many of you will have experienced the challenges faced providing care for patients with Mental Health needs in our acute wards and departments. There has been a significant increase in the number, and severity of presentation, of patients presenting with Mental Health needs as either a primary concern or complicating their physical care requirements. You are therefore increasingly likely to come into contact with challenging behaviours associated with Mental health issues.
These Mental Health Awareness sessions provide a basic understanding of factors affecting these challenges and will enable you to approach your patients Mental Health needs with increasing confidence.
