The Clinical Skills Team facilitate a face to face OSCE preparation programme. The programme is suitable for Internationally Registered Nurses wanting to gain UK registration.
The OSCE exam covers 10 stations:
- Four stations are linked together around a scenario: the APIE (one station for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) Four Linked scenario APIE stations: Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation
- Four Skills station’s (two pairs of two skills)
- One station to assess candidate's values and behaviours and one station to assess evidence-based practice
Although 10 of the stations are examined, there are a number of potential skills that you could be examined on. This is determined by the Test Centre.
Our preparation programme covers a variety of different learning and assessment methods. These include presentations, videos, practical demonstrations and MOCK exams to prepare you for your exam. Access to resources and skills equipment will be available to you during the programme.
Once you have completed your OSCE there will be further Hampshire Hospitals Trust specific training and competencies to complete.
