Spiritual Care at the End of Life - eLearning
This six-session course by the Chaplaincy Team at HHFT contains two generic sessions, “Spiritual Care at the End of Life: Why is it important?” and “Talking about Death and Dying”, that we hope will help staff to begin or continue conversations with patients, relatives, and each other about these important topics. The four more specific modules are designed to help staff to think about spiritual care in particular situations – where a diagnosis is given and there is time to prepare, when sudden death occurs, when a baby dies or is dying and when a patient is in their final hours or has died. Central to these sessions is an emphasis on staff self-care and wellbeing – knowing who to talk to and where to find support is important.
