If your patient requires an urgent blood test, clearly highlight this on the ICE request by selecting ‘Priority’ under ‘General details’. For on the day urgent bloods, please call ahead 01256 314751 Option 2 so that we know to expect the patient.

Appointment Information

Please note our Phlebotomy clinics are appointment only, we do not operate a walk-in service.

Patients can book appointments via the HHFT Trust website: Blood tests

Alternatively, we have a telephone booking line 01256 314751. This number has a high call volume and there may be a queue, so we would advise using the online booking system where possible for a more efficient service. Please select option 1 for our automated booking line for standard adult appointments. Please use option 2 for urgent, paediatric or special needs appointments. Where there are special needs please inform the administrator so a note can be added to your appointment.

Please remember that there are no longer any water dispensers across the hospitals; patients are encouraged to bring their own water, and re-fills are available in the restaurants.

Paediatrics

Please note paediatric appointments must be booked via our telephone booking line 01256 314751 Option 2 (and not via our online booking system) as multiple appointment slots are required.

AWMH and RHCH: Children 4 and under should be directed to Sophie’s place, please visit Sophie’s Place for more information.

BNHH: Children under 12 should be directed to Charlie’s Day Unit (CDU), please visit Charlie’s Day Unit for more information.
