We are a team of specialist nurses who offer advice and support to patients. Our team is led by a lead gastroenterologist. We see patients in the emergency department, on the ward or in our outpatient clinics.
Our role is to support patients in addressing their alcohol use. We aim to reduce alcohol- related admissions to hospital and to reduce alcohol- related medical conditions.

Patients can be tagged via EPR
Always monitor patients using the CIWAA withdrawal score if you are concerned that a patient is at risk of withdrawing from alcohol.
We offer bespoke training to all departments around alcohol awareness and education of the management of alcohol withdrawal please contact us to arrange.
