No matter which level you start at, as you progress through your Leadership career, the nature of your role and your development needs will change, it is therefore suggested that you review your reponses regularly to ensure you find the development you need. Discuss your development needs with your manager at your Appraisal or Next Steps conversation.

What is the Map to Management?
The HHFT Map to Management is a framework which sets out a 5 level development pathway from ‘Aspiring’ to be a line manager to becoming an ‘Expert’ leader.
Who is it for?
Anyone with line manager (people management) responsibilites, or who is aspiring to be a line manager. At HHFT we believe that everyone can be a leader by demonstating the relevant behaviours, not every leaders has to have line manager responsibilites.
Assessing Leadership Skills & development
HHFT has descriptions of the leadership responsibilites, behaviours, skills and knowledge for each level. These descrptions can be used to clarify your current skills, identify areas for development and direct you to the relevant training to support your leadership development by completing the My Leadership Skills Assessment.
Moving through the Map
You can start at any level and identfy dvelopment opporunties to support you. As you progress through your leadership career the nature of your role and responsibilites will change so we recommend you review your responses to ensure you find the right training for you.
